I have never done Pilates before, Can I attend?
Absolutely, Private Pilates is an ideal place to begin because the session can be paced around your experience and confidence
Beginners may also be able to join selected semi-private sessions after discussing their needs with Laurence.
What do I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are required for hygiene and safety and are available to purchase from the studio if needed.
What happens in my first session?
We will begin by discussing your goals, movement experience and any relevant injuries, conditions or recommendations from your healthcare professional. Laurence will then guide you through an individual Pilates session and recommend the most suitable ongoing option.
Can I attend with an injury or musculoskeletal condition?
In many cases, yes. Please contact Laurence before booking so your needs can be discussed and the most appropriate session can be recommended.
Pilates instruction does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. You may be asked to obtain clearance or guidance from your treating practitioner before commencing.
Do you offer pre— and post Natal Pilates?
Yes, private Pilates can be adapted through pregnancy and the post natal period, subject to individual circumstances and appropriate medical clearance. Please contact Laurence before your first booking.
What is semi-private Pilates?
Semi-private Pilates includes a maximum of three clients. You receive individual guidance and modifications while sharing the studio with a small number of other participants
Do I need a private session first?
A private introductory session is recommended for new clients and may be required if you have an injury, movement limitations, pre— or postnatal needs, or no previous equipment Pilates experience.
Where is the studio?
Crafted moves is located in a private studio in Nerang on the Gold Coast. The full address and arrival instructions are provided when your booking is confirmed.
Is parking available?
Yes, down the driveway, keep off the grass.
What equipment I available?
The studio includes three Reformers, two Wunda chairs, a Cadillac, spice corrector and a Ladder Barrel, together with mathwork and smaller apparatus.
What is the cancellation policy?
Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and non-attendance results on the session being forfeited, except where otherwise required by law or agreed in exceptional circumstances.
